A collection of crossovers containing Pokémon video game protagonists across nine generations dressing as Ghibli characters.

Disclaimer

The selection of Pokémon in his/her team is my preference based on the original character's personality, the original film's setting, and the latest Pokédex entries available on all forms and evolutions.

The team is formed, assuming that the host character (i.e., Pokémon protagonist) is being transported to the world following the original film's setting.

Frieren Masters EX

Description

A collection of characters from the hit anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is placed on one canvas and inspired by Pokémon's mobile spin-off game Pokémon Masters EX.From top to bottom, left to right: Heiter, Eisen, Himmel, Serie, Flamme, Fern, Stark, and Frieren.

Notes by Yours Truly

It took me two months to complete all eight characters. This piece is inspired by numerous parodies (fan art) of the anime television series posted on X after its end on 22 March 2024. A particular artist named @ononotsu, for example, posted several parodies of the series, such as Frieren Ball Vol. 1 (a Dragonball parody, 29 March 2024) and The Legend of Frieren: Elf of the Wild (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild parody, 19 March 2024). Please see the artist link in the Credits section.The blue petals in the background are inspired by one of Frieren's powerful spells: creating a field of flowers. Many of today's anime fans view this series as one of the best anime of the modern era.
